Defining Death, The Soul

Loss of heartbeat? Nope. People come back from that.

Stopped breathing? Nope. People come back from that.

Brain death? Nope. People come back from that. And often the heart keeps beating even when the brain is dead.

If we can’t define death (and by extension–life) by physical measurements of any kind, then perhaps human life (and by extension–consciousness) is not primarily a physical/material thing.
